iGarage Car Passport secure environment

Do you want to know what data we hold? Log in to the secure environment of the iGarage car passport. Here you will find an overview of your data and the products and services that you have activated in your account. Here you can also make any changes to your account.

Car Passport secure environment powered by iGarage

iGarage is the independent platform focused on fair and transparent vehicle maintenance for car owners. Affiliated workshops and garages support this platform by offering the iGarage car passport in their own corporate imagery and under their own name to their members and customers. Check on iGarage.nl to see all those involved. The secure environment and privacy policies for these affiliated workshops and garages will operate under, and adhere to, the same rules and guidelines as the secure environment of the iGarage car passport.

Don't have an iGarage Car Passport login account yet? No problem, go to iGarage.eu and follow the simple instructions.

PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA

iGarage offers the iGarage car passport service to car owners and iGarage garage tools for companies participating in the iGarage network. iGarage is responsible for your personal data within these services.

With the iGarage car passport you always know the actual status of your vehicle and you have direct access to your vehicle and maintenance data. You can also easily make appointments for maintenance and request support with frequently asked questions. For example, you will automatically receive a message on your phone when scheduled maintenance is due.

You may be aware that the new European law GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) provides individuals with certain rights in relation to their personal data. With this in mind, we have implemented a number of additional transparent access control features into our software and profile and account settings to allow users to exercise these rights.

For the application and implementation of the iGarage car passport and the iGarage Garage tool, we process your name, gender, address, postcode, e-mail address, telephone number and vehicle registration data.

In addition, we process the personal data from the Smartphone/computer necessary to enable us to offer the iGarage car passport functionality. This includes your location data in order to show the nearest garage in the event that this becomes necessary.

iGarage has a legitimate interest in also using this personal data to provide services such as appointments, find nearest iGarage participant and to be able to supply maintenance roadside assistance and mobility services.

You can use the profile settings to set up which iGarage users (such as garages, fleet managers, mobility providers) you want to share your data. In addition, you can specify which notifications you want to receive in the account settings and when installing the APP.

You can cancel your iGarage car passport at any time by deleting your account. We will then delete your data.

STORING AND DELETING OF DATA

We retain your personal information only if necessary to provide you with the iGarage Service and for legitimate or essential business purposes, such as the operation of the iGarage Service, the taking of data-based business decisions about new features and opportunities, meeting our legal obligations and settling disputes. We keep some of your personal information as long as you are a user of the iGarage Service. For example, we store your driver profile, maintenance details of your vehicle and account information.

At your request, we will delete or anonymize your personal information so that you can no longer be identified, unless we are legally permitted to do so or unless we are legally obliged to keep certain personal information. For example, because of our legitimate business interests, such as fraud prevention or the security of our users.

TRANSFER TO OTHER COUNTRIES

iGarage shares your personal data worldwide with other companies in the iGarage group to carry out the activities specified in this policy. iGarage may also outsource the processing or sharing of your personal information with third parties in countries other than your country of residence to ensure the operation (such as hosting, sending e-mails) of iGarage. Your personal data can therefore be subject to privacy laws other than those in your country of residence.

Personal data collected within the European Union (EU) and Switzerland may, for example, be transferred to and processed by third parties in a country outside the EU and Switzerland. In such cases, iGarage will ensure that the transfer of your personal data is carried out in accordance with the applicable privacy laws and according to appropriate contractual, technical and organisational requirements, such as the Standard EU contract clauses.

SECURITY OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

We protect the personal information of our users as much as possible. We implement appropriate technical and organizational precautions to protect the safety of your personal data. Keep in mind, however, that no system is completely safe. We have taken various precautions, including precautions in areas of pseudonymization, encryption, access and retention, to protect against unauthorized access to and unnecessary retention of personal data in our systems.

Your password secures your user account. Therefore, we recommend that you use a unique and strong password, limit access to your computer and browser, and log off after using the iGarage Service.

For questions about your privacy, your rights or how to exercise them, please contact our Data Protection Officer at [email protected]. We will answer your request within a reasonable time after verification of your identity.
